Bangalore (Bengaluru) is the capital city of Karnataka state in southern Bharat. As a scientific and industrial center, it is the third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomerate city in Bharat. Located at the centre of Deccan Plateau with an elevation of around 1 km, it is a cosmopolitan city housing numerous educational institutes, research laboratories and information technology companies. Thus, it is also known as the Science City or Silicon Valley of Bharat.
This city is well connected by airways, railways and roadways. International visitors can arrive in major airports (New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata) and get connecting flights to Bangalore (Kempegowda International Airport BLR). Many direct international flights do operate from Bangalore airport. Bangalore can also be reached by Indian railways (Majestic or Yeshwantpur Station).
